Our teen librarian is here to help

Our teen librarian focuses on the middle and high school years, helping both students and teachers. We encourage you to:

  • E-mail your next assignment to Betsy Su at bsu@champaign.org or fill out a Teacher Request form. We can create an online resource list to point your students to (see our Civil Rights example), send you a list of recommended resources, pull books for you to borrow, or put books on reserve for your students.
  • Invite us to your classroom to teach research skills or talk about recommended reads
  • Visit the library for a personalized tour

Please let us know if there are other ways we can help. Suggestions are welcome. We’re also happy to work with your school librarians.

Middle School Mentoring

Students can visit our Douglass Branch to learn computer skills and improve their problem solving and communication abilities. Project Next Generation is a free 8-week mentoring program offered three times a year. For upcoming dates, call the Branch at 217/403–2090.

Contact our Teen Librarian, Betsy Su, by e-mail to bsu@champaign.org or by phone at 217/403–2086.
