Volunteers & Friends

Both groups help the library. What’s the difference?

There are two ways to give your time to the library: be a volunteer or join the Friends of the Champaign Public Library. What’s the difference?

Volunteers help with the day-to-day operation of the library. The library’s volunteer coordinator matches their skills to tasks that need to be done.

Friends of the Champaign Public Library help the library raise funds through the FriendShop bookstore. The Friends sort donated books and work at the shop during open hours.

Some people are members of the Friends and library volunteers, too!
