Bluestem Award
It’s a new award for kids in grades 3 to 5! Illinois third, fourth, and fifth graders can vote for the Bluestem Award each year. Twenty books are nominated. Kids need to read (or listen to) four of those books before voting. The award goes to the author of the winning book.
The award is named in honor of Big Bluestem, the state prairie grass. Read more on the Illinois School Library Media Association website.
