Champaign City Township

Description: The City of Champaign website has information defining townships. According to their website, when Champaign County was first formed it was divided into townships. “Township“ and “City” do not refer to the same area. All land within a county belongs to some township, but may not be in a city. That means land may be within Champaign Township, but might not be within the City of Champaign.
