Service Roles

1. Current Topics and Titles

The Champaign Public Library enriches everyday life by providing our community with popular resources for information, enjoyment, and enlightenment.

2. Information for Life and Work

The Champaign Public Library provides open access to resources, technology, and staff expertise to answer the community‘s need for accurate, easy-to-find information for work, school, and everyday living.

3. Support for Education, Reading, and Lifelong Learning

The Champaign Public Library champions education, working with parents and educators from preschool through high school to build on their efforts and strengthen the quality of local education. The library encourages lifelong self-improvement by providing resources for learning at every age. The library promotes the joy and importance of reading.

4. Community Gathering Place

The Champaign Public Library is a focal point and source of pride for our community. The library provides inviting, comfortable gathering places that build a sense of community by welcoming everyone, encouraging interaction, and creating opportunities to meet and talk about ideas and issues.
