A beautiful library in Douglass Park.

The beautiful Douglass Branch Library stands in Douglass Park, just west of B. T. Washington School in north Champaign; see our map. The Branch offers many of the same collections and services as the Main Library including free events for all ages, public computers with Internet access, and a large meeting room, available free to Champaign non-profit groups.

Programs at the Branch

Entertaining, educational, and free; you’ll find a variety of programs all year long at the Douglass Branch Library. Our current schedule includes preschool storytimes, cooking classes for kids, book clubs for adults, and much more.

Table Talk Discussion Club at the Branch

Come join our casual get-togethers to talk about books by contemporary African American writers. Table Talk meets at 6:30 pm on the second Tuesday of each month.
