Our beautiful new library stands just north of the old library. Built of brick with limestone and copper accents, it faces Green Street. Funding

Project History
(http://champaign.org/about_us/construction_news/project_history.html)The library outgrew its old home at 505 S. Randolph St. within a few years of its opening in 1978. With that building unsuitable for expansion or reuse, a brand new library was needed.
