“By helping to turn young readers into lifelong learners, the Champaign Public Library supports Champaign Schools in our mission to provide top quality education for all students.”
— Judy Wiegand, Superintendent, Champaign Unit #4 Schools
Ready, Set, Read! provided free literacy kits to 1,400 families of preschoolers—thanks to individual donors, Target, and Champaign Unit #4 School District.
Classroom visits took our librarians’ passion for reading to nearly 7,000 Champaign children.
Our summer reading game helped 3,713 kids and 673 teens read for 5.3 million minutes and return to school ready to learn.
In our annual survey, 18% of patrons said they were visiting the library to study. Our bright spaces and helpful staff provide an excellent environment for learning.
